You have never really enjoyed yourself fully. It’s your own fault. No one has shackled you into a dungeon to live on bread and water for the rest of your life.
You made the decision a long time back that you were going to live your life a certain way so that you could make an impact on others. However, all you’ve done is limited yourself to the joys of humanity and from the abundant life of Christ.
I really don’t see how you can live everyday knowing that it’s going to be the same thing over and over, day after day. I couldn’t take that.
Remember the movie, “Ground Hog?” He’d wake up every morning at 6:00 knowing that it was going to be the same as it was yesterday. Your life is the same way, whether you know it or not or whether you agree with me. It is. It really is.
Wouldn’t you’d rather be able to make choices based on what you wanted to do? Excuse me; did you say that you are doing what you want to do? Oh come on, quit fooling yourself. Look around. Don’t you see that no one lives a life like that?
At the end of your life, you’re going to look back and say, “Why did I live that way?” “I didn’t do anyone any good and I only hurt myself.” I promise you, if you don’t change now you will wish you did.
Look, you’re not helping anyone really. So, get over it and begin living in freedom. Doing what you want to do. Enjoying what you want to enjoy. Going where you want to go. Working where you want to work. Just do it!
That kind of life style is what God wants you to enjoy. Jesus even said that He came to give you life more abundantly.
I feel sorry for you. I really do. You don’t have a life. You endure life. You’re stuck in your life because of some decisions you made, I know. So, begin to get out of that rut and get on a nicely smooth, freshly paved road filled with joy and happiness. Get your bike out and begin to enjoy the open road.
What is it that you’ve always wanted to do? Where is it that you’ve always wanted to go? What have you always wanted to be? Ah the good life of freedom.
That’s what I think about it.
