You would think that Jesus Christ had either died, left us as orphans, or forgot about us altogether if you listen to some people.
I want you to know that none of that has happened; He’s not a liar.
Some of you go around talking about the downward spiral of the economy with the same fervor and charisma as a dying calf. I mean, it’s pitiful.
You sing the song of “Woe Is Me” to all those around you. You sing the first verse to your family, the second to your friends, and the chorus to anyone who’ll listen to you. Get a grip, will you?
If Jesus Christ didn’t mean what He said to us, then just quit the team of believers and join the other side. At least then you’ll be in welcomed company.
You’re an embarrassment to the family of believers when you whine and cry like that. Grow up! God hasn’t abandoned you. He’s still with us.
Start believing what you’ve heard in church. Start finding the relationship with Jesus Christ you should have and fill in that gap between your religion and reality.
I know most people don’t have a clue about how to apply that which they’ve learned in church, but let me give you a glaring clue “it’s all in who you know.”
Your faith will grow so fast as you get to know the Savior. You just think you know Him. If you really knew him you wouldn’t be crying like a baby along with all those people who have no hope.
Do you think He lied when He said that God cares for you more than the sparrow and knows every hair on your head?
Do you think He was joking when He said to take no thought for tomorrow and to not be afraid of it?
Do you think He was smoking something when He said that He’d never leave us or forsake us?
Do you think He was delusional when He said He would meet all our needs?
Good grief! Quit your bellyaching and start believing. Start acting how you know you should in front of the world and that is with confidence in the One in which you believe.
Now dry up those tears and begin laughing at the Devil. Continue to be obedient in the midst of this world’s economy.
Keep giving your 10%.
Look, if you don’t believe what He said, and that means living it out in your life, then stop pretending you do and do what’s working for you. But I’m going to tell you right now, what you’re doing right now, ain’t working for you anyway, huh?
That’s what I think about it.
